Anne bailey - Freelance journalist

Anne Bailey is a freelance multimedia journalist and founding director of the Montana Media Lab at the University of Montana School of Journalism. In 2017 she was the T. Anthony Pollner distinguished professor of journalism at UM where she taught short-form video storytelling. Prior to that, she was digital producer and visual journalist for Public Radio International's “Across Women’s Lives” initiative where she reported on women's and girls' issues on location in Brazil, Kenya, India and Thailand. She has taught video storytelling at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies, the Rocky Mountain School of Photography and the Freedom Forum Institute. She also designed and led two citizen journalism training projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tunisia. Her work has been published in Slate, The World, Panoply Media, Deutsche Welle, Roads and Kingdoms, BuzzFeed, News Photographer, Al Jazeera America, Reuters, PBS MediaShift, Montana Magazine, Montana Quarterly and others
